It’s not going to write itself.

You. Me. 12 weeks. Unimaginable progress.

You know what I’m talking about.

Your book. Your essay. Your poems. That thing, that’s been sitting in your body for so long and you KNOW you need to get it out, but where do you even start, and how do you find the time, and what if you can’t even really articulate what it is yet, and OMG this is so overwhelming let’s put the idea away.

Except it keeps waking you up in the middle of the night. Poking you, while you’re walking the dog or doing the dishes.

Allow me to share some very bad news with you: it will not become less poky with time.

Believe me, I know from my own experience – and, I’ve edited or produced 13 books for other people. In most cases, the people had waited an average of 7 YEARS before they really got going.

The commonality among each and every one of them? That project hunted them down. Eventually, it got too loud, and they realized that if they didn’t at least start working on it, they could very easily see themselves never doing it. And that was unacceptable to them.

Perhaps you’re familiar?

So let’s make a start.

Consider this your official invitation to join me in bringing your work into the world, creating possibilities you can’t even imagine right now.

And lest that sound a tad dramatic … I know from the past 25-ish years as a published writer, and 17-ish years helping other people write, that possibility-creating ideas can't have a tangible impact until they're put into a material form — aka words — where they  can actually DO something.

My dream is that we get to the end of our time together and there's several new stones thrown into the pond of the world, making ripples we can't imagine now.

What’s the container?

A 1:1 kickoff call with me, then a mix of weekly Zoom meetings + 3 x weekly short, no stress online check-ins, with ongoing writing support, unfolding guidance, and general cheerleading from me.

No more than 5 people in the group, including me.

We'd meet on Zoom once a week on a day and time that makes sense for everyone. I'll give us all a prompt to explore something with our project, and we'll do that for about 10 mins.

Then we'll share what we have. Sounds simple. Can confirm, is transformative.

In the in-between times, we'll do short check-ins via an online platform on M/W/F -- Monday we set our intentions for the week, Weds we talk about how that's going, Friday we talk about how it went.

Super relaxed. Nothing homework-y. Just a rhythm to return to, and the support of other people doing the work.

And I'm here both as colleague and guide.

I've done a whole lot of writing over the years, and helped a whole lot of people get their ideas from the metaphysical realm into the material realm. Or, in other words, out of their heads and into the world.

I'm really good at it.

The last one of these I ran, we had…

  • Someone complete a comprehensive model that encapsulated their decades of work

  • Someone else went from zero to halfway done with their book AND got invited to pitch to agents

  • Another person started her long-awaited memoir, and

  • Yet another person started their first book about their life’s work.

I also really like it. And I especially love doing it with good people doing important work in the world. (Like you.)

Plus, I'll be working on my own project – a series of essays that I think is coming together into a book called Sins Like Chickens!

So I'm in this right alongside you.

Logistics:

We start off doing a call, just you and me, to talk through your project and see how I can support you in our time together.

Our group calls run from July 7 - September 29. Calls run 60-90 mins, depending on how we go.

The platform will be open from June 23 - October 3rd, so you can get oriented before the first call, and still get group support after the last one.

$1200 for the quarter.

Pay in one, two, or three installments.

What say you?

I’d truly love to have you in this group!
