Here's how writing a book normally goes:
IDEA! Oh that's great, yes yes yes.
Notes and quotes, notes and quotes…
Wait, does that go there??
Research rabbit hole — "how to write a book how to write a GOOD book"
OVERWHELM.
Pause and procrastinate.
Looks up ghostwriters … good lord, even a basic one is $25,000??? Guess I'm writing this book…
PANIC INSPIRATION! Back to it.
Churning out chapters this is so good, dreams of publication, NYT bestseller list here I come…
ROADBLOCK.
Wait. ARG. What am I writing?
Try to power through, make self miserable…
Sign up for NaNoWriMo or some other thing to "keep you accountable." (Hint: accountability is not what you need.)
Back to the outline! Is it shit? What am I actually saying?
WHO AM I???
Oh wait, it's this…
Repeat, repeat, repeat.
Believe me, I know. I've written, ghostwritten, or been the developmental editor on 19 books (four in the past year alone!) And that's not even considering all the drama that goes into publication, which is its own thing.
But what if writing your book could be like this:
You have a brilliant idea. You share it with someone who thinks you're awesome.
That person sees how all the puzzle pieces go together, and helps you figure out what goes in and what doesn't, and what your unique writing process will be for this book.
They then create a paragraph-by-paragraph outline that tells you exactly what to write about, how many words to say about it, and how to transition to the next part when you're done.
You sit down and write, knowing you'll never lose the plot or miss something important, because we already took care of that together.
You have a finished book faster than you ever thought possible, and a super clear road map of how to take it to publication.
I see the skeletons of writing. Can't help it, it's like my eyes have X-ray vision. This is very good news for you, because it means that I can see the structure of your book, from big picture outline right down to the paragraph, and I can share it with you.
I used to call this outlining, until I realized that to most people, that meant this:
⬆️⬆️ This is what I do. I not only get the book out of your head — I make it easier to finish it than not finish it.
It's how I write 3 x 60,000 word books a year without breaking a sweat, and how I've guided over a dozen other people to write their books.
Receipts
I'd like to do it for you.
That book that's living in your body, the one you wake up thinking about, and have been putting on your new years' resolution list for like 7 years now? It matters.
Let's just get it done.
No drama. No blood, sweat, and tears. Literally all you do is talk to me, and then sit down and write.
Don't feel like writing in order? Don't do it, my delightful fellow neurodiverse-brained compatriot! Drop in wherever you like, and know that all the pieces will fit together when you're done.
Feel like you can do the writing part, but the organizational part gets away from you? Great, it's done. Just write.
Want someone to see you, really see you, and tell you straight whether they think what you're writing about is worth a damn? I got you.
Need connections? I got 'em. I can hook you up with editors, designers, typesetters, book proposal experts, publishing teams, agent support, and more. See if you can throw me a wild card — I love connecting people with my network.
It's time.
Here's how it works:
You and I meet for 4 sessions of about 90 minutes. You don't have to come prepared. You just have to show up and talk at me.
I'll put together your book arc, outline, chapter summaries, and paragraph-by-paragraph guidance. You end up with what's essentially a very big mad lib :)
(Plus a step-by-step plan unique to the way you work that makes it super easy for you to write the way you need to write.)
I kick it back over to you and we fill in any gaps. I make sure you're crystal clear on next steps with writing and publication.
You write.
I fangirl as your book comes out and wows the world.
It really is that easy.
